Last month, Bryan Fuller stepped back as showrunner of Star Trek: Discovery, handing off the series to his "Number Ones," Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts. But this is not the first writing staff which Berg and Harberts have led. In 2012, the duo executive produced the short-lived ABC series, GCB, a comedy about five women in Dallas high society.

In this episode of Stage Nine, John and Mike take a look at GCB. We discuss its similarity to other shows from the era, whether or not it works as satire, and why it failed to find an audience. Mike also relays his first experience riding The Tower of Terror.
