No Star Trek series came close to the depth of character development that Deep Space Nine brought us over the course of seven seasons. Not only did the writers flesh out the main cast, they also developed more than 30 recurring characters who felt as much a part of the story as Sisko and his crew.

In this episode of The Orb, hosts Christopher Jones and Matthew Rushing take a closer look at the cast of DS9, examine their favorite characters, and consider who grew the most from “Emissary” to “What You Leave Behind.”
