Best known to Star Trek fans for her role of Beata in the first-season TNG episode "Angel One,” in which she portrayed the leader of the matriarchal planet Angel I, actress and producer Karen Montgomery passed away on December 4, 2015, at the age of 66 following a decade-long battle with breast cancer.
